Maybe you have never picked up a crochet hook before OR you tried and gave up OR you learnt a long time ago and need a refresher. No crochet knowledge is assumed or required in this Level 0 session.
So come and learn to crochet with me! Typical projects are: a handy loyalty card holder/ticket pouch, a wash cloth, bookmark, keyring. (Granny Squares are generally only covered in follow on workshops).
In this workshop you will learn:
- how to hold the yarn and hook;
- chain, double crochet, treble crochet, turning;
- best crochet practice (to prevent strain & injury);
- why recycled yarns matter;
- PLUS slip stitch, half treble crochet and double treble crochet (time allowing)
ALL materials are supplied, including recycled cotton yarn, a crochet hook, an AHSC printed recycled cotton project bag (handy for taking your crochet everywhere with you), a pattern of the workshop make.
Maximum session size is 10.
